Plus as a WCR member, you'll be able to access MOCA (Members Only Conferencing Area) where you can participate in discussion groups or drop in to the on-line Referral Center. NETWORKING & REFERRALS
At the heart of everything we do at WCR is a belief that by working together, our members are more successful than they would be alone. So your WCR membership opens up a world of networking and referral opportunities, including local and state chapter meetings, workshops and special events.
Referral Network and the Referral Roster
Ask a WCR member what the most valuable benefit of their membership is, and, chances are, most will say "referrals". In a recent survey, 60 percent of our members reported using the referral network in the last two years. What does that mean for WCR members? It means that, each year, our members receive over $100 million in commissions just from the WCR network.
The backbone of our referral network is WCR's annual member directory, the Referral Roster. It's your link to tens of thousands nationwide who are ready and willing to put qualified referrals in your hands. Your listing in the Roster is free with your membership. And additional advertising opportunities are available to increase your visibility even further.
Local, State and Regional Networking Opportunities
When you become a WCR member, you also become a member of your local WCR chapter, which regularly offers a number of business-building opportunities like roundtable discussions, featured speakers, marketing meetings, and other timely and topical events. Those events complement our national referral network by providing face-to-face interaction and discussion with other professionals right in the community where you live and work.
Likewise, WCR state and regional chapters also hold events designed to expand your business opportunites, develop your skills and talents and broaden your knowledge and know-how. Finally, WCR holds two national meetings each year, during which members come together to conduct council business, participate in education programs and make contacts from all over the nation.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
There are 3 types of Membership in WCR. They are Realtor®, National Affiliate & Local Affiliate. Members are eligible to be in one membership category. Below is the breakdown of the various requirements & benefits of each type:

Local Affiliates
A prospective Affiliate member may become a Local Affiliate without holding any form of membership in the Local Board of Realtors®. A Local Affiliate may not hold office in the Local Chapter or serve as a Standing Committee Chairperson. They may serve as a Special Committee Chairperson and may serve on all committees except the Nominating Committee. Dues paid by a Local Affiliate are retained by the Local Chapter and ARE NOT SENT TO THE NATIONAL WCR OFFICE. Dues are billed by Local Chapter and not National WCR.

National Affiliates
WCR National Bylaws limit National Affiliate membership to no more than 30% per Chapter (30% of Realtor® Members). A National Affiliate member must be a member of the Local Board of Realtors®. They may vote, but they do not count toward a quorum. They may serve as a Standing & Special Committee Chairperson and may serve on all committees except the Nominating Committee. A National Affiliate may hold the offices of Secretary and/or Treasurer only in the Local WCR Chapter. Their dues are billed through National WCR. They receive the "Connection" magazine & are featured in the Annual Referral Roster. They also have access to password protected information on www.wcr.org.

REALTOR®
Any real estate agent is eligible as long as they are a member of the Local Board of Realtors®. A Realtor® member can hold any Office or Committee Chair and vote. You also receive the "Connection" magazine and are featured in the Annual Referral Roster.
